• School Closings/Delays:

    In light of the increasing concern around COVID-19, Governor Sisolak, after consulting with local and state wide agencies including the Nevada Department of Education, health officials and school superintendents, has decided that all schools in the state of Nevada will close to students starting Monday, March 16th and cannot reopen no earlier than April 16, 2020.

PCSD offers Meal Service to students during COVID-19 Shutdown

Dear Pershing County School District Parents,


Pershing County School District is pleased to announce that as of 2:20 p.m. today our Foodservice Department received permission from the Nevada Department of Agriculture that we can offer some meals to our students during this shutdown.  Meal Service will be provided Monday thru Thursday beginning on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

The Pershing County School District Board of Trustees and District Leadership share our community’s concerns about a possible outbreak of the COVID-19 Virus.  We are collaborating with the Health Officials from Pershing County, The State of Nevada, and Federal Government to determine the best course of action to protect our students and staff members and ensure the educational needs of our students are met.
