eMINTS in Nevada
|
The eMINTS (enhancing
Missouri's Networked Teaching Strategies) instructional model
transforms education for all learners through high-quality teaching
powered by technology. eMINTS teachers participate in an intense
professional development program that spans two years during
which they learn teaching techniques and strategies that promote
higher-level thinking skills in an inquiry-based learning environment.
Each eMINTS classroom contains one computer for every two students, an interactive white board with projector, a digital camera, a color printer, and a scanner. With these tools and new teaching strategies, teachers can change the way they teach and the way students learn. The Pershing County School District chose to pilot the eMINTS program in three elementary classrooms after being awarded EETT grant funds in September 2005. The program has brought many exciting new changes to our district. |
