Pershing County School District is commited to providing a safe, healthy, and friendly environment for student, faculty, and community members.

During the summer of 2010, the district, in conjunction with a grant from NV Energy's SolarGenerations program with a federal energy stimulus grant, was able to construct & implement a solar energy system. With no cost to the district, the equipment was put in operation by October 2010. Mr. Fox, District Superintendent, recently made this statement which reflects the effectiveness of the project. " I did a quick look today (1-26-2011) at this month's electric bill ($6,573.71) and January of 2009 which was $15,585.30 for a savings of $-9,011.59 (58%!). "In 2009, the Lovelock Elementary School put in place a set of solar panels which provides power to that school and the bus shop. The pictures below show some of the solar panels from the high school, middle school & elementary school.
